We came together in the Summer of 2013 when our farms, forests, and wetlands were threatened by Enbridge’s proposed Sandpiper Pipeline. We learned a lot about transporting oil and the Public Utilities Commission and our rights as citizens. After many months of weekly meetings and legal procedings we emerged victorious when Enbridge withdrew its pipeline application. A few people focused on one big task succeeded in beating Big Business – and we made lifelong friends while doing so.
